1) Jim Sahm - The Role of Cloud API Gateways in Your Security Architecture
Jim will share his experience in implementing Azure APIM, discuss its role in security best practice architecture and lessons learned through implementation.
Jim Sahm, Senior Cloud Services Architect and Cyber Security Consultant with Database Solutions has over 30 years of experience in IT systems, systems operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and software development. Experienced in change management best practices, project management, process improvements, and strategies to increase efficiency, Jim develops and implements innovative, practical solutions to complex business and technical problems. Jim’s background includes: extensive hands-on experience designing, building, integrating, developing, operating, and administering servers, network systems, applications, and databases in enterprise physical and virtualized environments. Jim has led teams in developing, building, and implementing cybersecurity plans and financial audits using several approaches including NIST, PCI-DSS and other accredited models. As a Colonel in the US Air Force, Jim directed cyber posture, security, upgrades, defense, and certification efforts for numerous US Air Force installations.
2) Mark Melnychenko -- Implementing Privacy Technology: Common Challenges and Approaches
Mark Melnychenko is a Senior Director at Ankura based in the Philadelphia area. Mark brings more than 20 years of overall experience centering around data privacy, vendor risk management, cybersecurity, team leadership, project management and software development/architecture. He has assisted clients with compliance with privacy laws such as CCPA/CPRA, other US state privacy laws, GDPR, LGPD, HIPAA and others. Mark will discuss common challenges and approaches to prevalent Privacy technology solutions being implemented today including: Data Inventory, Data Subject Requests (DSR), Consent/Preference Management and Vendor Risk Management. Mark Melnychenko will share the challenges to anticipate when implementing these solutions and potential approaches to overcome these issues.
3) Tabletop Security Techniques for Organizational Readiness
Three security experts will facilitate security incident drills as a way to assess your organizational readiness to respond to today's cybersecurity threats
Mike Hastie, divisional Chief Architect of UHC specializing in DeveOps and Cyber Security. Mike has over 30 years of IT experience including working for Deloitte, Ernst and Young, co-founding and running his own business and CTO of a large Professional Services company responsible for innovation, product development, and technical sales.
Kiran Padgaonkar manages IT teams focused on marketing data, master data and content management. Kiran has 30 years’ experience as an IT leader, business partner, leading highly engaged multi-location/global teams. He has extensive experience in data warehousing, analytics, and reporting.
Mark Roxberry, a Senior Consultant for Database Solutions (DSI), has over 20 years’ experience as a skilled architect and developer with experience designing, developing, and ensuring secure applications. Mark is a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) with significant experience employing and promoting secure coding practices and designing security architecture models ensuring the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of information assets of his clients and principals.
