DAMA Philadelphia hosts five full day chapter meetings per year, every other month from September through May. There are additional professional development opportunities, such as instructor led training, seminars and certification camps. These special events are priced separately at a discounted rate. Networking functions are held after select meetings and events.

CDMP Fundamentals testing on 3rd day afternoon

Data Management Fundamentals Exam and Boot Camp
The Data Management Fundamentals exam and the CDMP Boot Camp cover 14 topics: Data Governance, Data Modeling and Design, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Master and Reference Data Management, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence, Data Architecture, Document and Content Management, Data Integration and Interoperability, Data Security, Data Storage and Operations, plus Data Management Processes, Ethics, and Big Data.
The Data Management Fundamentals exam is primarily based on the Data Management Body of Knowledge Document (DMBoK) developed by the Data Management Association but also assumes that certification at the Practitioner and Master levels requires knowledge derived from experience working on Data Management projects and programs. Possession of the CDMP certification demonstrates base-line knowledge, best practices, and expertise for employers and clients of Data Management projects. It is quickly becoming a standard sought by employers globally.
Attending a CDMP Boot Camp allows individuals to quickly refresh their Data Management knowledge, gain an understanding of the format and delivery of the CDMP exams, and take their first CDMP exam. Those who attend a CDMP Boot Camp and immediately take the exam have a very high percentage (94%) pass rate, but, as part of a DAMA Chapter event, only need to pay if they pass.
Instructor Biography
April Reeve has spent the last 35 years working as an enterprise data architect and program manager. She has architected and implemented data strategies, new data technologies, and data management programs for many financial services and health science organizations.
April is an expert in multiple data disciplines including data integration and migration, big data, data governance, data security, data warehousing, business intelligence, master and reference data management, document management, and metadata.
